Current Playlist

Hi guys!

I was in the middle of posting yesterday about something totally different, but then gave up and watched Gossip Girl...haha. Anyways, today I feel like sharing my current favorite tunes with you!

Ok, first of all, let me just say what kind of iPod I have. I have the iPod nano 5th generation.

I know, it's pretty ancient....it seems like everyone had one of these in 5th-6th grade but when my mom tried to take hers to the Apple store to get fixed, the person there was like "woah! I have never seen this before!" Mine still works well for holding music. It's just that I can't have an Instagram or do any of the other fun stuff that people can with iPod touches and iPhones. (I do have a Kindle fire, but it only has the apps that Amazon has and it doesn't have a camera.)

I always take my iPod with me while working out, but I listen to completely different songs. (I think I will make a Workout Playlist post in the future!) These are the songs that I listen to for fun or while cleaning my room.

1. Wide Awake- Katy Perry
I'm so glad Katy re-released Teenage Dream to add this! Supposedly it's written about her divorce. I think the lyrics are genius and I love the mysterious, airy feel it has. The music video is quite strange though....
2. Blown Away- Carrie Underwood
This is the leading track off Carrie's new album Blown Away. I think that it is a masterpiece and extremely powerful song, and is definitely worth going to listen to.
3. Easy Silence- The Dixie Chicks
Before listening to this Dixie Chicks album in the car I had totally forgotten that I really loved this song. It's really peaceful, calm, and relaxing.
4. Emmylou- First Aid Kit
This sister duo is not well known, but they should be because I really love this song. The genre is pretty folk and I love the harmonies in it.
5. I'd Lie- Taylor Swift
You won't find this song on iTunes, which is a shame because it could be a huge hit. Taylor wrote this when she was about 15 and it's still unreleased. You can easily find a download link for it, though, and you should- it's so heartfelt and addictive.
6. White Dress- Parachute
I really love what this song is about. It's about a girl with extremely high hopes, aspirations, and expectations and the guy is saying he wants to love her more then everything she wants....how cute. :)
7. Two Is Better Than One- Boys Like Girls
Another very cute song. It's easy to listen to and easy to love. Bonus: Taylor Swift sings background vocals on the chorus.
8. You Don't Know Me- Ben Folds featuring Regina Speaktor
This song kind of reminds me of Sarah Bariellies. (Did I spell that right?..) It's catchy and instantly addictive.
9. You Were Meant For Me- Jewel
I just love the music in this song (although the lyrics are great too.) It's like 10 years old but still amazing!
10. In Your Arms- Kina Grannis
This singer is not widely known, but I was pleasantly surprised when I heard this on the radio at Panera! If you haven't heard of Kina Grannis, go look her up because she definitely has potential to be pretty famous, not to mention the video for this song is pretty epic. :)

I hope you liked all my music suggestions and now have an idea of what to put on your iPod!
