Celebrity Fashion Inspiration and Looks I Love

One of my favorite places to get inspiration for outfits is from celebrities. I feel like certain celebrities have certain looks that create their signature image. It's also just plain fun to see what famous people are wearing.

First, I LOVE Taylor Swift's style.

It's very mostly very retro/vintage, but also very classic and elegant.

One thing I really love about Taylor's style is that it's extremely tasteful and modest. There's a lot of celebrities that dress really flashy and spend loads of money on designer items, but Taylor has said herself that she buys a lot of her clothes from places like Target and Old Navy.

Second, I love Elle Fanning's style!!! Elle has described her style as very unique and offbeat. I think that it looks slightly European.

What I love most about Elle's style is that she has a great dress sense for her age (she's two months older than me)! She seems to know a lot about fashion and always puts her own twist to things.

Next, what is not to love about Kate Middleton's style?

All her hats are just fabulous!

Another one that's worth mentioning (even though she's dead..) is Audrey Hepburn. I did a whole project on how her style influenced women.

Any other celebrities that you get your inspiration from?

The Style of Gossip Girl

Hi guys! I'm pretty bored right now....we dropped off my sister at camp today so I will be all alone this week. Today I'm kind of going to copy Citrus and Style's post today but in more detail. After Caroline saw Blair Waldorf's style, she was immediately hooked on Gossip Girl. Blair's style is amazing, but I LOVE Serena's too and it is more like my style.

We felt like dressing up like them the other day, so we reinacted a photo of them. Click here to see it!

If you don't know the show, here is a little summary of the characters:

Serena Van Der Woodsen: The It girl of the Upper East Side and Blair's best friend. Used to be a wild party girl, but ditched her old lifestyle and has always been really nice.
Blair Waldorf: The Queen Bee of Constance Academy and Serena's best friend. Is very smart and classy, but sometimes she can have a bit of a temper.
Nate Archibald: The grandson of the Vanderbilt's. A typical cute and popular boy except he's rich....and he's had history with Serena, Blair, Jenny, and Vanessa.
Chuck Bass: Is very witty and cynical and enjoys plotting schemes. After his father dies, he becomes a 17 year old billionaire. Likes to hang out in certain places at night....
Dan Humphrey: Known by everyone as "Lonely Boy." He is quiet and lives in Brooklyn and not rich. He wants to be a writer and dated Serena for a long time.
Jenny Humphrey: Dan's younger sister. At the beginning of the show, she kept trying to fit in with Blair's group but was rejected. In season 2 she stopped being a follower and dropped out of school to start her own clothing line. She then went pretty goth...
Vanessa Abrams: Dan's best friend since childhood. Lives in Brooklyn and works at a coffee shop.

Blair's style is quite preppy, while Serena's is more boho chic.

However, I'd wear MANY of Blair's outfits any day!

Personally, I think Blair, Serena, Chuck, and Nate are the best people in the show! Chuck has HILARIOUS style for a guy:

Unfortunately, Jenny Humphrey's rocker style is not so great. Ironically, she wants to be a fashion designer.

Same with Vanessa Abram's offbeat, quirky style:
(ok hers isn't THAT bad but I still wouldn't wear it..)

Besides them, Nate and Dan's style is just boy stuff:

(Dan)

Overall, the style in this show really makes a statement and is one of the best parts of watching it. Do you watch the show?
